Atoll Electronique

Founded in September 1997 by brothers Stéphane and Emmanuel Dubreuil in Brécey, Normandy, France, Atoll Electronique was created to address a market gap for reasonably priced true high-end audio electronics for budget-conscious audiophiles. Stéphane, an electronics engineer, and Emmanuel, a management specialist, established the company with full domestic manufacturing oversight in their facility near the UNESCO-recognized Mont Saint-Michel Bay. After an encouraging start in summer 1998 with the AM100 amplifier model, Atoll launched their CD player line (CD50, CD80, CD100) by late 1998, followed by their 3-channel amplifier range (AV50, AV80, AV100) for home cinema in 1999. The company expanded significantly with the 2014/2015 launch of a complete MINI product set including preamp/DAC, amplifiers, CD players, and streamers. Operating from their rue des Ecoles facility in former SODIBOIS premises, Atoll maintains complete control over production while distributing over 40 products across France and more than 40 countries worldwide. In October and November 2024, the company launched the Evolution series for several models, continuing their commitment to innovation in high-fidelity audio equipment.
