ATI (Amplifier Technologies Inc.) was founded in June 1994 by Morris Kessler and Mike Pontelle in Los Angeles, California. The founders built amplifiers since teens, with Kessler forming SAE in 1967 and Pontelle joining as partner in 1968 for almost two decades. Morris Kessler, building amplifiers since 1962, has reached legendary status and is credited with designing the world's first high-performance 5-channel, 7-channel, and 16-channel amplifiers. The company operates from a 50,000 square foot Southern California manufacturing facility, designing and assembling all products to their specifications. ATI specializes in high-end power amplifiers for home theater and audio/video markets, with products including AT6000, AT4000, AT1820, and AT500NC series amplifiers.
