Audio Exklusiv is a German high-end audio manufacturer founded on October 1, 1979, by Gerd Pütz, who had previously worked as head of development at HECO loudspeakers. The company was born from Pütz's ambition for perfect music reproduction and innovative audio technologies. After Pütz's death in 1990 at age 41, his wife Eva and two sons continued the business until 2004, when operations were largely shut down except for service. In 2009, the Pütz family sold the trademark, design, and technical rights to Andreas Schönberg, a long-time family friend, who has since revived the brand. The company is renowned for its electrostatic speakers, particularly the legendary P6 model introduced in 1986, which earned international acclaim and created the term 'Pütz-Elektrostat' in the high-end audio community. Audio Exklusiv maintains its founding philosophy of uncompromising quality, using only the finest components determined through extensive listening tests. The company produces transistor and tube pre/power amplifiers, dynamic and electrostatic speakers, turntables, tonearms, and accessories across three product lines: Reference Line, Classic Line, and Eco Line.
