The company was acquired by Neil Patel in 1989, who has successfully led the company for over three decades, carefully renewing the Avalon portfolio and creating iconic designs like the diamond-shaped Eidolon in the early-mid 1990s. Neil Patel and his Boulder-based team conduct ongoing research to redefine three-dimensional soundstaging in high-resolution audio. Avalon is renowned for their distinctive diamond-shaped cabinet designs, ceramic cone drivers, and diamond dome tweeters - creating some of the most copied speaker designs in the world. Their current product lineup includes the Legacy Series (Precision Monitor 1, 2, 3), Precision Series (Precision Monitor 1.2, 2.2, 3.2, 4), and Signature Series (Isis, Saga, Tesseract), all representing the pinnacle of American high-end loudspeaker engineering and acoustic innovation.
