Bonawatt is a Polish high-fidelity audio manufacturer founded by an engineering graduate from Warsaw University of Technology who studied Mechatronics and Telecommunications, abandoning a career as production line designer for industry to commercialize a 15-year passion for building tube audio devices. Established in Warsaw, Poland, with a fully equipped production and measurement facility using calibrated digital multimeters and spectrum analyzers, Bonawatt specializes in handcrafted valve amplifiers that fuse classic tube warmth with contemporary design and engineering. The company employs meticulous manufacturing processes, manually selecting mirror elements of stereo systems in pairs and optimizing devices to achieve optimal harmonic relationships in signal spectrum. Bonawatt produces two flagship models: the Tamesis, a Class A single-ended ultralinear integrated valve amplifier (£8,795), and the Triton, a 250W hybrid integrated amplifier combining valve preamp with Class D output stage featuring modular expansion slots for DACs, phono stages, and wireless modules (£9,995), developed in collaboration with Polish firm MuzgAUDIO. The founder also co-founded KONTRA Speakers, bringing extensive experience in loudspeaker design and construction. Operating from Warsaw at gen. Józefa Sowińskiego 25/298, Bonawatt has gained international recognition, exhibiting at High End Munich 2025 and establishing UK distribution through Feel Flows Audio, positioning themselves as a boutique manufacturer delivering warmth, richness, and detail housed in elegant minimalist enclosures that preserve signal purity and tonal nuance.
