Boston Acoustics was an American audio manufacturer founded in 1979 by Andy Kotsatos and Frank Reed (Advent veterans). The company was known for 'The Boston Sound' and produced home, architectural, and car audio speakers. Acquired by D&M Holdings in 2005, then by Sound United in 2017. As of 2018, Sound United let Boston Acoustics fade away with no future production planned, making it effectively a legacy brand.
