Cairn was founded in 1994 by Gilles Belot in Saint Germain, France, establishing a collaboration with French design firm 'Ezo' managed by Benoit Rabozzi. Products were often branded as 'Cairn by Ezo - France,' emphasizing their French design and manufacturing heritage. The company specialized in hi-fi/high-end audio equipment including the 4808 Class A integrated amplifier, K1 Class A monoblocks, Mea monoblocks, and various CD players such as the Fog series (Fog v2.0, Fog 3), Tornado, and Swan HE models. Their Nanda North Face preamplifier completed their product range. All products were hand-assembled in France with 'Made In France' quality positioning. Despite producing highly regarded high-end audio equipment and winning recognition in the audiophile community, Cairn ceased operations and is definitively defunct. However, their products remain sought after on the second-hand market, available through 400+ sites, testament to their build quality and sonic performance during their operational years.
