The C.E.C. DX 71 is a D/A converter and digital control amplifier that emphasizes high performance and sophisticated technology. It is designed with a high-speed, low-distortion, full-balance circuit and features the latest 24-bit DAC technology. The unit incorporates nine noiseless power supplies with 'time constant' amplifiers, alongside a high sound quality pure Class A pre-amplifier complemented by a high-precision potentiometer. This model supports a range of digital inputs including AES/EBU (XLR), COAX (RCA), OPTICAL (TOS), and CEC Super Link, allowing for connection of multiple media sources at once, all switchable via remote control. It can handle input formats from 32kHz to 96kHz, ensuring compatibility with various digital audio sources. Inside, it houses two DAC chips featuring advanced circuits like dynamic element matching, third-order noise shaping, and multi-level quantization, which contribute to low total harmonic distortion and an expansive dynamic range.

The DX 71 offers four analog outputs with variable balance, achieving a precisely balanced output thanks to the specialized circuit design. The unit’s high-quality single-ended pure Class A pre-amplifier enables it to drive external power amplifiers directly, with volume control achieved through high-precision potentiometers featuring 100-step adjustments. A digital phase inverter facilitates connections with international amplifier brands. The device is built to ensure excellent timing and reduced jitter, employing a unique Super Link connection that separates audio data and clock signals for optimal performance. Additionally, the internal power supply is well-designed, with strong isolation between digital and analog sections, enhanced by large-capacity filtering and low ESR components to maintain signal integrity. Its specifications include dimensions of 435 mm x 105 mm x 310 mm and a weight of 10 kg, along with accessories such as a Super Link cable and a remote control.
