Copland is a prestigious Danish high-end audio manufacturer founded in 1984 by engineer Ole Møller, named after American composer Aaron Copland. Based in Copenhagen, the company specializes in handcrafted tube-based amplifiers and high-fidelity equipment. Møller, who previously worked at Ortofon developing low-noise amplifiers for MM and MC pickups, established Copland to focus on valve-based audio engineering. The company operated through Swedish partner Xena Audio from 1990-2001 before returning production to Copenhagen. All equipment is assembled by hand by five qualified craftsmen in traditional Scandinavian design style, creating restrained and laconic products that don't deliberately display tubes like other manufacturers. Copland has gained international recognition for superior craftsmanship and exceptional sound quality in the high-end audio market.
