Croft Acoustics was a respected UK-based cottage industry hi-fi manufacturer founded approximately 25 years ago (around 1998) by Glenn Croft. The company specialized in handmade bespoke amplifiers using innovative hybrid valve/solid-state technology, earning high regard for their unique circuit designs and exceptional sound quality. Key products included the Micro 25 pre-amplifiers and Series 7 power amplifiers, all meticulously handcrafted in small quantities. Glenn Croft was known for his innovative approach to audio engineering, creating circuits that combined the warmth of valve technology with the precision of solid-state design. Tragically, Glenn Croft died in 2022 at age 65 in a motorcycle accident. Following his death and in accordance with his express wishes, Croft Acoustics was permanently closed and their website (croftacoustics.co.uk) was deleted. The company represented over two decades of British audio craftsmanship and innovation, leaving behind a legacy of highly regarded amplifiers that continue to be sought after by collectors and audiophiles who appreciate the unique sound signature of Croft's designs.
