Modern incarnation of the original Crosley Corporation (1921-1956), Crosley Radio was reintroduced in 1984 by Modern Marketing Concepts and first marketed turntables in 1992. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Crosley has become a leading manufacturer of vintage-styled turntables, radios, and audio electronics. The original company was founded by inventor Powel Crosley Jr., dubbed 'The Henry Ford of Radio,' who created affordable radios and started radio station WLW in 1922. The modern Crosley specializes in entry-level turntables and retro-styled audio equipment, making vinyl accessible to new generations of music listeners. While not connected to the original corporation, Crosley maintains the legacy of making audio technology affordable and approachable for mainstream consumers, with manufacturing history in Richmond and Marion, Indiana facilities.
