Davis Acoustics is a French high-fidelity speaker manufacturer founded in 1986 by Michel Visan in Saint Maur-des-Fossés near Paris. After Michel's death, his wife Brigitte Visan took over operations before their youngest son Olivier Visan assumed management in 2014. The company relocated from Paris suburbs to Troyes, where all products are designed and manufactured by hand in their French factory. Davis Acoustics was one of the first brands to use advanced materials like Kevlar, carbon, and fiberglass in loudspeaker design. Starting as a family business with just three employees, they initially manufactured only loudspeakers before expanding to complete speaker systems in 1988 and home speakers in 1993. The company remains family-owned and self-financed, ensuring complete freedom in research and production. They offer multiple product ranges including Stellar, Heritage, Capsule, Courbet, Krypton, Ariane, DMAX, and InWall series, plus DIY speaker kits.
