Founded with roots tracing back to November 1945 when the State Radio Receiver Factory (PFOR) was established in Dzierżoniów, Poland, Diora Acoustics emerged from the Diora-Świdnica company that became a European leader in loudspeaker cabinets. Originally established as part of the Lower Silesian furniture factories in 1945, the company evolved through several name changes before adopting the Diora brand, eventually establishing the modern Diora-Świdnica production facility. In 2014, the company moved to new headquarters at Towarowa Street in Świdnica, operating from a modern plant meeting the highest quality and energy efficiency standards with over 120 employees producing more than 20,000 cabinets annually. Diora Acoustics specializes in high-end audio systems, particularly their innovative Lada series featuring isodynamic drivers capable of reproducing almost the entire frequency range, combining modern design with advanced sound technology. The Lada series, launched in February 2024 at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show, represents the fusion of historical tradition and contemporary audio technologies with unique speaker enclosure designs that work in harmony with sound propagation. Despite facing bankruptcy challenges in June 2024, Unitra CEO Daniel Kostrzewa began negotiations to preserve the company's 80-year heritage, jobs, and production facilities, recognizing Diora as one of the most important brands in Polish electronics history. The company maintains international distribution and continues to embody Polish engineering excellence in professional speaker manufacturing.
