The Focal ICU 130 is a 2-way coaxial speaker system designed for car audio applications. It features a compact design with a shallow mounting depth of 48.9 mm (1-59/64 inches), making it suitable for various vehicle installations. The system includes a 5-1/4" (130mm) polyglass woofer with a butyl rubber surround, which enhances durability and sound quality. The tweeter is an inverted aluminum/magnesium dome, providing detailed treble reproduction and an improved soundstage. This model incorporates a built-in 6dB/oct crossover and offers a 2-position treble adjustment (+3 dB/Flat), allowing for customization based on speaker placement. With a nominal power handling of 60 watts RMS and a peak power of 120 watts, it has a sensitivity rating of 91.8 dB and a frequency response range from 90Hz to 21kHz. The design aims to provide high sensitivity and excellent sound quality without the necessity of upgraded wiring, although performance can be enhanced when paired with an aftermarket amplifier. The ICU 130 comes as a pair without grilles, and it includes mounting gaskets, speed clips, and self-tapping screws for installation.
