Founded in 1977 in Ballrechten-Dottingen, Markgräflerland in southwest Germany by Günter and Ilse Sumser, In-akustik emerged from a quest to deliver quality audio cables unavailable in the market at the time. The company has grown to become one of Europe's leading Hi-Fi accessory manufacturers, remaining an owner-managed company with over 22,000 items in their product range. In 1986, they expanded beyond cables by founding their own music label, which now features over 3,000 titles and has sold more than 15 million recordings, winning 24 jazz awards. Part of the Braun Group of companies (a medium-sized family enterprise since 1948), In-akustik operates from their manufacturing facility in Ballrechten-Dottingen where they produce high-quality cables using innovative technologies like their proprietary AIR Helix Point-to-Point technology, now in its 5th generation. Led by Managing Director and co-founder Dieter Amann, who serves on the Executive Board of the High End Society, the company maintains its commitment to precise German engineering, manufacturing Reference, Excellence, Premium, and Star series cables alongside power conditioning products like the AC-4500 Power-Station, all designed to turn music into pure pleasure.
