Founded in mid-2017 by Jes Kerr, Kerr Acoustic Ltd was incorporated on January 4, 2016, and is based in Cambridge, England. Founder Jes Kerr is a drummer, percussionist, and Audio & Music Technology graduate from Anglia Ruskin University who chose speaker design over studio engineering. Coming from a strong musical background as session musician and music producer, Jes brings firsthand experience of hearing and creating music to his speaker designs. The company operates as a family business with Jes's father Steve, a joiner by trade, responsible for crafting the K300 enclosures. Initially serving the professional audio market, Kerr Acoustic expanded into home audio through UK distribution partnerships, offering high-end speakers that bridge professional monitoring and audiophile listening. Their product range includes the entry-level K300 Mk3, related floorstanding models, and the flagship K100 Mk2 three-way floorstander.
