Leben Hi-Fi Stereo Company was founded in 1992 by Taku Hyodo, a former Luxman engineer ranked as one of Japan's best eight tube audio design engineers. After Luxman's takeover by Alpine, Hyodo started his own company Kouri Denki Co. (KDC) in 1979, later founding Leben. The name 'Leben' means 'life' in German, reflecting Hyodo's 'music is life' philosophy. Based in Amagasaki City, Japan, Leben specializes in hand-made tube amplifiers including the award-winning CS-600 (Stereophile 'A' rating), CS-300F, CS-1000P, and RS-28CX preamp. All products are hand-built by experienced craftsmen using point-to-point wiring with high-quality components. Leben has received numerous international awards including Diapason d'Or, Product of the Year from Hi Fi Plus UK, and recognition from 6-moons USA.
