The Luxman C-1010 is a transistor control amplifier, designed as the successor to the C-1000, featuring a similar basic circuit configuration and functional style. Released in December 1975, it incorporates an operational amplifier circuit configuration akin to a DC amplifier, which enhances the characteristics of the high-frequency range. The amplifier utilizes the LUX method for its tone control, providing enhanced audio performance. The C-1010 has a rated output of 1V, with a maximum power output of 13V. Its total harmonic distortion factor is minimal, being 0.006% or less for the record out and 0.007% or less for the pre-out at 2V. The frequency response ranges from 2 Hz to 80 kHz with a variation of -0.5 dB. Input sensitivity includes phono inputs (Phono 1, 2) at 25 mV (± 5 dB variable), tuner input at 150 mV, and auxiliary inputs (Aux 1, 2) also at 150 mV. The signal-to-noise ratio satisfies high standards, with phono rated at 65 dB or more and tuner/aux at 83 dB or higher. The tone control is based on the LUX System NF Type with Curved Point Switching. The external dimensions of the C-1010 measure 485 mm in width, 175 mm in height, and 245 mm in depth, with a weight of 10 kg.
