The MB Quart One is a compact two-way bass reflex speaker launched in 1991 and made in Germany. It features a sturdy black cabinet constructed of 3/4-inch high-density particle board, complemented by injection-molded top and bottom plates and a removable black cloth grille. The speaker is equipped with a 160 mm (6.5 inch) woofer and a 25 mm titanium dome tweeter, achieving a frequency response range from 49 Hz to 32,000 Hz. The crossover frequency is set at 2800 Hz with a slope of 12 dB per octave for the woofer and 18 dB per octave for the tweeter. The speaker has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and can handle a nominal power of 60 watts and a music power of 80 watts, facilitating an efficiency rating of 90 dB at 2.5W/m. Weighing 6 kg with dimensions of 210 x 343 x 240 mm (W x H x D), it provides significant audio performance for its size. The design allows for a balanced and uncolored sound, excelling in both low and high frequency outputs while demonstrating impressive measurements for dispersion and group delay. The Quart One competes favorably against similarly priced speakers, offering solid bass and crisp highs without muddiness.
