Myryad was founded in 1995 by brothers Chris and Dave Evans alongside their wives Sue and Lynn, with the company incorporated on December 6, 1993. Based in Birchanger, Bishop's Stortford, England, at Woodside 2 Dunmow Road (CM23 5RG), Myryad specializes in stereo integrated amplifiers, CD players, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, and AV processors. Chris Short, formerly of TGI group and Mordaunt Short, joined in 1998, strengthening the company's engineering expertise. Their first product, the MI 120, achieved immediate recognition with a 5-star review in What Hi-Fi magazine in January 1996. The company developed comprehensive product lines including M-Series, Z Series, and MX Series components. Myryad built a reputation for delivering high-quality audio equipment that combines technical excellence with musical performance. As of 2025, the company remains active though their website is currently under maintenance, indicating ongoing operations despite temporary online presence limitations.
