The Onkyo D-7 is a 3-way loudspeaker manufactured by Onkyo, produced between 1981 and 1982 in Japan. It features a closed cabinet design and incorporates three speakers: a 320 mm Deltaolefin cone woofer for low frequencies, a 120 mm Deltaolefin cone midrange driver, and a 25 mm dome tweeter for high frequencies. The structure allows it to handle a nominal power of 80 watts and a music power of 120 watts. It has an efficiency rating of 92 dB/W/m, indicating a high sensitivity, and a wide frequency response range from 30 Hz to 45 kHz, making it capable of reproducing deep bass and high treble tones. The speaker's transitional ranges are set at 500 Hz for the crossover between low and mid frequencies, and 3,000 Hz for the crossover between mid and high frequencies. With an impedance of 6 Ohms, it is compatible with a variety of amplifiers. Special features include detachable front covers and independent level controls for the midrange and treble ranges, allowing for customizable sound adjustments. The cabinet dimensions are 387 mm in width, 694 mm in height, and 334 mm in depth, with a total weight of 21.5 kg. The original price at launch was approximately 59,800 yen.
