The Onkyo TA-1900 is a cassette tape deck manufactured between 1980 and 1982 in Japan. It features a sleek silver finish with a front-loading design and operates in stereo mode. The deck is designed with a 2-head mechanism and supports 4 track / 2 channel playback. It has a variety of connectivity options, including two mono microphone inputs, DIN input/output connectors, and a headphone output. The deck includes a mechanical transport control and features a 3-digit mechanical counter along with analog needle meters for showing playback status. The tape deck supports various tape types, including normal, chrome, and metal tapes, with manual tape type selection available. It operates at a speed of 1⅞ ips (4.76 cm/s) and incorporates Dolby-B noise reduction to enhance audio playback quality. Additionally, it has individual input level controls for better sound management, a single capstan transport system, and a belt-driven mechanism. The auto stop feature ensures the deck stops operation when the tape has finished playing.
