The Onkyo TA-2015 is a stereo cassette deck that was produced between 1982 and 1984. It features an analog 3-digit tape counter and offers manual tape type selection, supporting both normal and chrome tapes. The deck uses a belt-driven single-capstan transport, providing reliability in playback and recording. Positioned as a typical front-loading cassette deck, the cassette compartment is on the left side, with mechanical tape eject operations. Users must insert the cassette with the side to be played facing forward. The transport functions are controlled by full-logic buttons that respond to minimal contact. For added versatility, the TA-2015 includes two microphone inputs for live recordings via jack connectors, and it is equipped with a headphone jack for private listening. The aesthetics feature a silver color typical of the era's audio devices, blending well with other components in the Mid-06 system series, which includes an integrated amplifier and a turntable.
