The Ortofon SPU Synergy G is a moving coil cartridge designed to deliver high-quality audio reproduction. It features an output voltage of 500 µV at 1000 Hz with a tracking force recommended at 3.0 g (30 mN), allowing for optimal tracking performance. The cartridge operates effectively within a frequency range of 20 Hz to 30,000 Hz, and it has a frequency response of ±2 dB within the 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz range. Additionally, it boasts a channel separation of greater than 23 dB at 1 kHz and maintains a channel balance of less than 1.5 dB at the same frequency. The SPU Synergy G exhibits low distortion levels, with FIM distortion measured at less than 1% under recommended tracking conditions. It supports tracking abilities of up to 70 µm at 315 Hz and has a dynamic lateral compliance of 8 µm/mN. The stylus type is a nude elliptical, with a radius of r/R 8/18 µm, and it is designed with a very low equivalent stylus tip mass of 0.45 mg. The internal impedance is 2 Ohms, and it is advisable to use a load impedance ranging from 10 to 50 Ohms. The body of the cartridge is crafted from grinded wood and is finished in shiny black, contributing to its aesthetic appeal. Weighing 30 grams, it is designed for ease of use in a variety of setups.
