Pure Audio is a New Zealand high-end audio manufacturer founded in 2009 by Gary Morrison and Ross Stevens, two veterans of the audiophile industry with extensive experience in premium audio design. Gary Morrison brought 30 years of audio industry expertise, having served as co-owner and head designer for Plinius Audio from 1987-2005, while Ross Stevens contributed over 25 years of industrial design experience, including work with renowned designers like Philippe Starck and audio brands such as B&W, Perreaux, and Plinius. The company emerged from their collaboration on iconic Plinius product designs and represents their 'assault on the audio state of the art' with a philosophy emphasizing purity in sound, materials, design, and execution. Pure Audio manufactures a focused range of premium audio amplifiers, including control pre-amplifiers, Class A mono power amplifiers, stereo power amplifiers, and exceptional phono stages, all designed specifically for music lovers seeking authentic reproduction. Following Gary Morrison's passing in February 2021, the company continues operations, maintaining their commitment to creating audio equipment that serves music enjoyment above all else.
