After being destroyed in WWII, the company relocated to Surrey and earned a royal warrant in the 1950s. Roberts pioneered DAB digital radio with the world's first portable DAB radio (Classic 2000) in May 2000. The company moved through various ownership changes, acquired by Glen Dimplex Group in 1994, and relocated to Chertsey, Surrey around 2020. Roberts continues innovating with their iconic Revival range (Britain's best-selling portable radio) combining retro design with modern technology, maintaining their 90+ year heritage of 'Sounds for Generations.'
