Rogers was founded by Jim Rogers in 1947 in the UK and became synonymous with quality audio equipment for over three-quarters of a century. The company gained fame through their BBC licensing partnership, becoming the first licensee to produce the legendary LS3/5A monitor speaker developed by the BBC Research Department in the early 1970s. Rogers manufactured over 43,000 pairs of the 50,000+ LS3/5A speakers produced worldwide. After several ownership changes, including acquisition by Chinese owners Wo Kee Hong Holdings in 1993 and Asian production from 1998, Rogers returned to UK manufacturing in 2018. Currently operated as Rogers International UK Ltd from Virginia Water, England, they continue producing the LS3/5A alongside LE, ST, LF, and Lifestyle speaker editions, maintaining their reputation for precision British audio engineering and BBC heritage.
