Roksan is a British Hi-Fi manufacturer founded in 1985 by University of London graduates Tufan Hashemi and Touraj Moghaddam. Named after Roxana, daughter of Persian King Darius, reflecting the founders' Persian heritage. Famous for the Xerxes turntable that challenged conventional suspension designs, plus amplifiers like the K2, K3, and blak series. Originally reacquired by founders after being sold to Verity plc in 1996, but acquired by Monitor Audio Group in 2016. Currently based in Rayleigh, Essex, producing over 30 different products including turntables, amplifiers, CD players, streamers, and loudspeakers. Recent product launches include the 2021 Attessa range and 2024 Caspian Series 4G, hand-built at Monitor Audio Group's Essex headquarters.
