Founded in August 2015 by young audio enthusiasts passionate about HiFi, Tanchjim (officially operating under Nanning Heavy Hammer Technology Co., Ltd. since 2016) has evolved from a design society into a renowned Chinese premium Hi-Fi In-Ear Monitor brand. Based in Nanning, Guangxi province, China, the company was established with the mission to 'faithfully recreate the original sound' and 'deliver acoustic and aesthetic beauty to every user.' The Tanchjim Design Society was formally founded on August 17, 2015, with the founder enrolling at the China Academy of Art in September 2016 to study product design, leading to the 2017 partnership with the chairman of Nanning Heavy Hammer Technology Co., Ltd. The company's breakthrough came with the January 2018 release of Darkside dynamic earphones, followed by the landmark December 2018 launch of Oxygen dynamic earphones, which established Tanchjim's reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and graceful tuning. With a professional team of acoustic engineers, including core R&D members with extensive experience at well-known Japanese acoustic brands, Tanchjim has expanded from conventional wired headphones to include desktop DAC/amp integrated machines, truly wireless Bluetooth headsets, cables, and headphone amplifiers. The company has garnered numerous international awards including multiple Japan VGP Awards (2019-2023), Global Fashion Science and Technology Innovation Competition prizes, and CIHE EXCELLENT HIFI AUDIO Silver Award, featuring popular models like LUNA, ZERO, OLA, ONE DSP, ORIGIN, and their flagship 'Harman-Tuned' Oxygen IEM.
