Founded in 1987 in Montreal, Quebec by Vince Bruzzese, a high school math teacher with a deep passion for music who was disappointed by speakers available at local audio stores. Driven by his quest to find loudspeakers that could truly convey the emotion of music as intended by artists, Bruzzese conducted extensive research and experimentation, leading to the development of his first loudspeaker, the Model One, in 1987. The Model One sent waves through the Canadian audio industry and quickly established Totem Acoustic's reputation. Headquartered at 9165 Rue Champ D'Eau, Montreal, Quebec, the company employs approximately 85 people under Bruzzese's continued leadership as Founder & Lead Designer. After 35+ years in business, Totem Acoustic remains true to its original guiding principles of offering remarkably engaging listening experiences that evoke deep emotional responses. Today, Vince can still be found in his Montreal office, tinkering with new speaker designs while maintaining the company's commitment to handcrafted Canadian excellence.
