Videoton is Hungary's largest industrial group in private ownership, founded as a legal entity in 1938 and privatized in 1991. Originally a state-owned electronics manufacturer known for stadium-sized electronic scoreboards throughout Warsaw Pact countries, the company transformed into a leading contract manufacturing services provider. Headquartered in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, Videoton specializes in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), ranking 33rd globally and 3rd in the EU. The company has a rich audio equipment heritage, having manufactured speakers and audio systems for major brands including Sony, Canton, Tannoy, Bösendorfer, Kenwood, and Panasonic. Today, Videoton operates through 21 member companies across 11 locations (9 in Hungary, 1 in Bulgaria, 1 in Serbia) and serves major industrial partners like Valeo, Suzuki, Philips, Legrand, and Braun. With over 80 years of history and record sales revenue of 605 million EUR in 2021, Videoton continues to be a significant player in European contract manufacturing.
