Antipodes Audio was founded in 2004 by Mark Jenkins in New Zealand, initially as a high-end cable manufacturer before pivoting to music server-streamers in 2009. Based in Otaki on the Kapiti Coast, the company launched its first commercial music server-streamers in 2011 from their modern 11,000 sq. ft. facility. Known as 'the mavericks of digital music,' Antipodes focuses on emotional engagement through technology, distributing products in over 30 countries. In 2024, they launched Emotion Audio division to distribute high-end audio in New Zealand. The company specializes in reference-level digital music servers, streamers, and reclockers, designed and manufactured entirely in New Zealand. Jenkins continues as CEO, maintaining the company's philosophy of achieving musical connection through innovative digital audio solutions.
