The dual-mono signal path uses separate power supplies and transformers per channel, JFET input stages, bipolar gain devices, and pure Class A output stages.

With 20 dB gain on both balanced and single-ended outputs, plus low output impedance of 10 Ω balanced and 25 Ω unbalanced, LS-3 supports long interconnects.
