The B&W 803 D4 is a high-performance floor-standing speaker that brings advanced design and technological innovation to a more compact form factor than its larger siblings, the 801 D4 and 802 D4. Part of the prestigious 800 Series Diamond lineup from Bowers & Wilkins, the 803 D4 features a three-box construction, incorporating a dedicated midrange enclosure known as the Turbine Head. This design isolates the 130mm (5-inch) midrange cone to enhance clarity and sound reproduction. The Reverse Wrap cabinet is constructed from a single continuous curve of wood, which improves sound dispersion while reducing cabinet resonance. Enhanced Matrix™ bracing reinforces the internal structure, further minimizing unwanted vibrations and ensuring a well-defined soundstage. The speaker is equipped with two Aerofoil™ bass cones housed in solid aluminum bass pods, optimizing the mechanical location for powerful bass performance while mitigating distortion. The 803 D4 utilizes advanced materials such as the Continuum cone and Biomimetic Suspension, ensuring superior midrange transparency. With a frequency range of 16Hz to 35kHz, a sensitivity of 90dB, and a nominal impedance of 8Ω, the 803 D4 is capable of delivering a dynamic and immersive listening experience.
