Founded in 2022 through the collaboration of Kim Neeper Rasmussen (experienced developer with 20+ years in audio technology) and Laust Nielsen (HiFi expert who grew up in a HiFi company), CANVAS HiFi emerged from their 2019 partnership. The company was created to address the compromise between space-saving versatility and authentic hi-fi sound quality in modern speakers. CANVAS HiFi develops premium TV speakers that combine High End SB Acoustics die-cast aluminum chassis, next-generation paper cone drivers, and proprietary BridgeBrace structural bracing. Their flagship product features 4-channel Burr-Brown DAC, HiFi amplifiers, and revolutionary BACCH 3D crosstalk cancellation technology invented by Princeton University's Edgar Choueiri. Compatible with all major TV brands in 55-77 inch sizes, CANVAS speakers deliver true high-end HiFi performance typically found only in dedicated audiophile systems, making a successful comeback after initial crowdfunding challenges in 2019.
Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is pursuing legal action against Canvas HiFi regarding the design of Canvas' "HiFi Frame," citing similarities to B&O's "Beovision Contour."
B&O demands the withdrawal of the "HiFi Frame" from the market, destruction of existing stock, and financial compensation by October 1, 2025.
Canvas HiFi disputes the infringement claims, asserting their product's design predates B&O's, and highlights its partnership with Samsung for display components.
