CANVAS HiFi Unveils Advanced Soundbar at High End Munich 2025

16 May 2025 by Mike Danyk

At High End Munich 2025, CANVAS HiFi is set to unveil significant upgrades to its acclaimed soundbar, building on the impressive foundation showcased at CES 2025. Priced starting at $4,999, the CANVAS HiFi Soundbar stands out not just for its premium cost but for its exceptional design and engineering, earning accolades without effort. The latest enhancements focus on the introduction of a new crossover and the innovative Organic Master Tuning system, both developed under the guidance of CTO Benno Baun Meldgaard, renowned for his work with prestigious brands like Gamut and Gryphon.

Central to the upgrade is the proprietary “stepped slope” crossover, a technique that ensures seamless blending of drivers while sharply reducing distortion outside the intended frequency range. This results in precise phase and impulse alignment, delivering imaging and timing performance that surpass typical soundbar expectations. Complementing this is the Organic Master Tuning, a psychoacoustic approach tuned by ear in real-world environments rather than solely relying on laboratory measurements. This methodology provides a more open, transparent, and natural sound presentation, offering a lifelike experience that is rarely achieved with soundbar systems.

Another standout feature is BACCH 3D (Band-Assembled Crosstalk Cancellation Hierarchy), which effectively eliminates crosstalk errors to deliver true 3D imaging from a compact stereo setup. This technology ensures that each ear receives only its respective channel, preserving the spatial cues necessary for an immersive audio experience. Additionally, CANVAS HiFi incorporates advanced Room Correction through its mobile apps, allowing the soundbar to adapt to various room acoustics and maintain a balanced frequency response even when placed flush against walls or directly on the floor.

Connectivity and versatility are further enhanced with support for Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and integration with streaming services like Roon, TIDAL, and Spotify. The soundbar also accommodates legacy equipment through Toslink digital optical inputs and high-quality analog connections, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of audio sources. The universal TV mount system, featuring interchangeable front grills, allows seamless integration with TVs of multiple sizes, maintaining a unified and minimalist aesthetic.

Available for purchase through CANVAS HiFi and authorized dealers, the upgraded CANVAS HiFi Soundbar will be demonstrated at High End Munich 2025 from May 15th to 18th. Existing owners can benefit from the new features via automatic over-the-air updates, reinforcing CANVAS HiFi’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge audio performance without additional hassle.
