The Focal Alto Utopia Be is a high-performance floorstanding speaker designed to deliver exceptional sound quality. It features a three-way driver configuration consisting of a pure beryllium inverted dome tweeter, a midrange driver, and a large bass driver. The use of beryllium in the tweeter allows for extended frequency response up to 40 kHz. The bass driver measures 10.9 inches (280 mm) in diameter, while the midrange driver measures 6.4 inches (165 mm). The speaker enclosure is constructed to minimize coloration and maintains a balance between stiffness and self-damping for optimal performance. It stands at 47.5 inches high, 14.5 inches wide, and 21 inches deep, and features an elegant design with options for wood veneer finishes. The port-loading system is tuned to a frequency of 28 Hz, providing deep and rich bass response. Connection to the amplifier is made through high-quality WBT locking multiway terminals.
