Founded in 2011 as YuTai Electronic Acoustics in Dongguan, China, Kinera emerged from the Yutai Electronic Acoustic Research Center established in 2010, developing into a national high-tech enterprise specializing in research, development, production, sales, and service of headphones, hearing aids, speakers, and sensors. Under President Yu Dequan's leadership, the company achieved a breakthrough in 2010 by creating the world's first high-resistance 5mm micro dynamic speaker for military hearing aids, followed by mass manufacturing of balanced armature drivers in 2013. The Kinera brand launched its first hybrid driver IEM BD005 in 2016, becoming the most competitive entry-level hybrid driver IEM in the market. Operating from Dongguan with close cooperation with top acoustic research institutions across China, Kinera has obtained 24 patent authorizations and international certifications including ISO9001(2015), CE, TELEC PSE, FCC, and IPX4 waterproof certification. The company's philosophy centers on creating headphones with exceptional listening experience, beautiful appearance, and comfortable wear, built on strong resolution, prominent vocals, and balanced sound tuning. With their second subsidiary brand Celest established in 2021 for musicians seeking authentic sound performance, Kinera maintains global business relationships across Japan, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and Russia, establishing itself as an internationally renowned supplier of driver technology and premium in-ear monitors.
