Founded in March 2010 by Lukasz Fikus (born 1965 in Warsaw), LampizatOr emerged when the Warsaw Polytechnic University electrical engineering graduate decided to quit his position as Poland General Manager of a multinational engineering company after 19 years to pursue his audio passion. Specializing in power distribution with a major in High Voltage Physics, Fikus registered his company in July 2010 and established a manufacturing workshop in Warsaw, Poland. The name 'LAMPIZATOR' combines the Polish word for vacuum tube ('Lampa') with 'Terminator,' reflecting Fikus' nickname in the DIY community. Based near Warsaw with 12 employees and dozens of subcontractors, the company cooperates with over 30 small and medium firms in the Warsaw area, emphasizing local production and craftsmanship. LampizatOr is renowned for high-end digital-to-analog converters (DACs), preamplifiers, and audio components that innovatively combine century-old direct-heated triodes with modern integrated circuit DAC technology. This unique approach creates the distinctive 'Lampizator species' of audio components known for warm, natural sound characteristics through vacuum tube technology. The company has gained significant recognition in the high-end audio community for their technical innovation and craftsmanship, establishing LampizatOr as a premier Polish audio brand that successfully bridges vintage tube technology with contemporary digital audio engineering, serving discerning audiophiles worldwide who appreciate both technical excellence and musical authenticity.
