LampizatOr GENYA Unveiled at AXPONA 2025: Revolutionizing R2R DAC Technology

14 April 2025 by Mike Danyk

LampizatOr has unveiled the GENYA, a minimalist tube-based R2R DAC, at AXPONA 2025 in Chicago. Designed with audiophiles in mind, the GENYA eschews unnecessary features such as volume control, remote management, and preamplification to deliver pristine sound quality at a competitive price point ranging from €14,400 to €22,800.

The GENYA employs a 20-bit, 192 kHz R2R PCM multibit conversion using the AD1862 Quad Mono DAC, ensuring high-resolution audio playback. Its balanced schematics and copper foil capacitors paired with silver wiring contribute to a pure signal path, free from silicon interference beyond the conversion stage. The unit is housed in a newly designed, charcoal black chassis, emphasizing its industrial and understated aesthetic.

Connectivity options include USB JL converter, S/PDIF RCA, AES/EBU, and TOSLINK inputs, along with both RCA single-ended and XLR balanced outputs. The absence of DSD support and informational displays underscores the GENYA’s commitment to simplicity and functionality. Additionally, the DAC features easily replaceable 6N6P tubes within a low impedance SRPP scheme, supporting various tube configurations for personalized sound tuning.

Sound quality feedback highlights the GENYA’s ability to create an expansive and immersive soundstage, reminiscent of vinyl playback but enhanced with digital precision. The detailed and resolute sound character, combined with the depth and clarity of individual instruments, positions the GENYA as a standout choice for audiophiles seeking a high-fidelity digital audio experience without the clutter of extraneous controls.

Available for pre-order, the LampizatOr GENYA DAC represents a homage to tube master Evgennyi Kreminski, embodying his legacy through meticulous engineering and a dedication to exceptional audio performance. This release solidifies LampizatOr’s reputation for delivering masterful audio solutions tailored to discerning listeners.
