Connectivity is another strong suit of the TDAI-3400, featuring an expansive array of inputs and outputs that allow seamless integration with both audio and video sources. It includes seven digital inputs—optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, USB-B, and USB-A—alongside two RCA analog inputs. For those requiring more analog connections, an optional analog module adds additional inputs including XLR and phono MM. There’s also an optional HDMI 2.1 module that provides further flexibility with two inputs and one ARC/eARC output.

An integrated media player enhances the TDAI-3400’s appeal by supporting a vast range of media interfaces and boasting excellent playback quality. Whether through a local network or directly via USB, the built-in DLNA/UPnP-enabled player grants access to a vast music library. It supports popular streaming services and protocols such as Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay 2, along with internet radio. Exclusive to TDAI-3400, TIDAL Connect allows for streaming in lossless audio quality using the TIDAL app as a controller. Additionally, the unit is equipped with an MQA Core Decoder for unfolding MQA files to deliver an audio experience that surpasses standard CD quality, faithfully reproducing the sound of the original master recording.
