The McIntosh C2800 is a vacuum tube preamplifier that blends traditional analog warmth with advanced digital capabilities. This preamp is equipped with four visible vacuum tubes (3 × 12AX7A and 1 × 12AT7) which contribute to its rich audio output. It features a well-structured interface with 16 inputs: 7 analog (including 2 phono, adjustable for Moving Coil or Moving Magnet) and 7 digital inputs powered by an audiophile-grade Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). The C2800 supports high-resolution audio formats, decoding digital music up to 24-bit/192kHz, and accommodates DSD512 via the USB input.
