The MI128 is an 8-Channel Digital Amplifier designed for versatile applications including distributed audio, home theater, and stereo listening. It delivers 120 Watts into 8 Ohm speakers and 150 Watts into 4 Ohm speakers thanks to its advanced closed loop digital switching amplifier technology combined with robust power supplies. This amplifier is installer-friendly with physical dimensions that allow it to be rack-mounted (2U) using the included removable mounting ears. It operates efficiently as a Class D amplifier, eliminating the need for cooling fans, which helps maintain a quieter operating environment. The front panel features multi-colour LED indicators to display the status of each channel, while the rear includes unbalanced inputs, 2-pole Phoenix style push-in speaker terminals for each channel, volume controls for balancing, and two digital audio inputs (coaxial or optical). Additional features include Power Guard® signal overload technology to prevent speaker overdriving, Sentry Monitor short-circuit protection, BUS inputs and outputs for easy signal distribution, individual channel inputs, 12 Volt triggering capabilities, and eco-friendly on/off signal sensing for automatic power management.
