Auer Acoustics Showcases Versura V2 at AXPONA 2025
Auer Acoustics unveiled their latest offering, the Versura V2 floorstanding speakers, at AXPONA 2025 in Chicago. Crafted by hand in Aamernage, Bavaria, these speakers showcase the company's dedication to exquisite design and superior construction. Central to the Versura V2's design is the use of Panzerholz, a high-density, pressure-treated wood that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also optimizes sound clarity and minimizes unwanted vibrations. This meticulous craftsmanship results in a balanced and natural sound signature that audiophiles can appreciate.
The Versura V2 was demonstrated in a specially designed listening room at the exhibition, paired with high-end electronic components from Swiss manufacturer Soulution. This setup emphasized the speakers' transparency, musicality, and dynamic range, providing an immersive listening experience. The sealed cabinet design of the Versura V2 ensures excellent bass control, making it well-suited for various living room environments in the Netherlands and Belgium. The attention to detail in materials, fit, and finish, as well as the custom-built flight cases, underscores the commitment to quality and performance.
Robert Auer, the founder and chief designer of Auer Acoustics, engaged with attendees to discuss the brand's philosophy and the intricate design process behind the Versura V2. Established in 2012, Auer Acoustics leverages the industrial expertise of Auer Packaging, known for producing high-end plastic products with precision akin to Formula 1 operations. This foundation allows for the integration of precision engineering with traditional craftsmanship, resulting in speakers that deliver emotionally immersive and technically impeccable sound.
Symphony Audio has announced that they are the official Dutch importer of Auer Acoustics. According to Jan Coenen, Symphony Audio’s owner, the Versura V2 and other models in the lineup excel in build quality, material selection, reliability, and musical balance. The Versura V2 is priced starting at €39,524, with additional models such as the Versura Mini monitor speakers from €13,315 and a range of subwoofers available. These speakers are competitively priced against other high-end brands and are available for listening at the Symphony Audio Experience Center, where they are paired with Soulution electronics, Ideon digital sources, and TechDAS turntables.
