Designed for versatility, compatible with Clearaudio and other turntable brands.
10-inch carbon fiber tube optimizes mass and tracking error over traditional designs.
Features magnetic anti-skate and interchangeable counterweights for precise adjustments.
Clearaudio has unveiled the Unity, its latest flagship pivot tonearm, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to high-fidelity audio craftsmanship. Developed in tandem with the Master Jubilee turntable to celebrate the company’s 45th anniversary, the Unity tonearm stands as a testament to German engineering excellence.
Available in sleek black or refined silver finishes, the Unity is designed for versatility, compatible with all Clearaudio turntables as well as models from other manufacturers. The tonearm features interchangeable counterweights and magnetic anti-skate, hallmark features of Clearaudio’s design philosophy. Building upon the magnetically stabilized single-point bearing first introduced in the Naim Aro Mk II, the Unity incorporates an enhanced bearing housing that significantly reduces unwanted resonances, ensuring a purer sound reproduction.
Technical specifications highlight the Unity’s 10-inch carbon fiber tube, which strikes an optimal balance between effective mass and minimal tracking error, outperforming traditional 9-inch or 12-inch designs. The magnetic attachment of counterweights allows precise positioning for superior groove tracking. Additionally, the tonearm offers on-the-fly calibrated VTA adjustment and azimuth tuning, both secured with locking mechanisms to maintain stability during playback.
Connectivity is addressed with internal silver wiring, minimizing resistance and enhancing signal clarity. The Unity terminates in a 5-pin DIN connector, accommodating both RCA and balanced XLR connections to match various phono preamp configurations. Priced at €15,000 and €15,350 respectively for models with the 5-pin DIN, the Unity tonearm is now available across Europe.
With its blend of advanced materials, precise engineering, and thoughtful design, the Clearaudio Unity sets a new benchmark for audiophiles seeking unparalleled performance in their vinyl playback systems.
