DALI has just unveiled two exciting additions to their Custom Install product line at ISE 2025 in Barcelona: the PHANTOM M-80 A in-ceiling speaker and the PHANTOM CI AMP-4750 DSP 4-channel amplifier. These new offerings promise to elevate in-ceiling audio experiences to new heights, blending DALI's renowned acoustic engineering with innovative design.

The PHANTOM M-80 A is not just another in-ceiling speaker; it's a game-changer for those who value both aesthetics and performance. With a 7-inch bass/midrange driver angled at 25°, it allows for precise sound dispersion, ensuring that audio is directed exactly where it's needed. This design is particularly beneficial for immersive surround sound setups, where placement and directionality are crucial.

Key Specifications of the PHANTOM M-80 A:

  • Frequency Range: 48 – 27,000 Hz
  • Nominal Impedance: 6 ohms
  • Recommended Amplifier Power: 50 to 200 watts
  • Drivers:
    • 1 x 28mm soft dome tweeter
    • 1 x 7-inch wood fiber cone mid-woofer
  • Dimensions:
    • Outer: 289 x 138.5 mm (including grill)
    • Cut-out: 281 mm
    • Mounting Depth: 134 mm

The speaker also features compass-style direction indicators, making installation and setup a breeze. It's compatible with the PHANTOM Universal Backbox, enhancing its versatility in various installation environments.

Paired with the M-80 A, the PHANTOM CI AMP-4750 DSP amplifier is a powerhouse designed to drive DALI's custom-install speakers and subwoofers. Delivering 750 Watts per channel, this 4-channel amp offers both performance and configurability. It's equipped with both analog and digital inputs, including four analog inputs and one stereo S/PDIF. Outputs include digital and analog audio, making it flexible for complex setups.

Key Specifications of the PHANTOM CI AMP-4750 DSP:

  • Amplifier Type: UMAC Class D with ultra-low distortion
  • Frequency Range: 12Hz to 20kHz (+/- 0.5 dB, 8 Ohms)
  • Output Power:
    • 4 x 750 Watts @ 2/4 ohms (Single Ended)
    • 2 x 1500 Watts @ 8 ohms (BTL)
  • Signal-to-Noise Ratio: >108dB (A-weighted 20Hz – 20kHz, @ 8 ohms)
  • Dimensions: 88 x 440 x 332 mm
  • Weight: 7.4 kg

One standout feature is its compatibility with both traditional low-impedance speakers and 70V/100V systems, making it suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. The amp is also configurable via the DALI PHANTOM CI AMP CONFIGURATOR, allowing for fine-tuning to match specific DALI loudspeaker models.

We're genuinely excited about these releases. DALI has a reputation for crafting speakers that offer exceptional sound quality without compromising on design, and these new products are no exception. The M-80 A's ability to focus sound where it's most effective is a significant advantage for custom installations, and the AMP-4750 DSP's power and flexibility make it a compelling choice for both home theaters and sophisticated audio setups.
