Dynaudio elevates its flagship with the Confidence 20A active standmount loudspeakers, priced at €20,000 per pair. This iteration transforms the traditional Confidence 20 into an active system by integrating a DSP-based crossover, enhancing phase accuracy and extending the bass response from 42Hz to 33Hz. The 2-way design pairs a 2.8cm Esotar3 soft dome tweeter with an 18cm NeoTec MSP mid/bass driver, ensuring detailed and dynamic sound reproduction.
At the heart of the Confidence 20A are two Class D amplifiers from Pascal, delivering 150 watts to the tweeter and 400 watts to the mid/bass driver. This robust amplification ensures ample headroom and effortless performance even at high sound pressure levels. The electronics are elegantly housed within custom stands that double as heatsinks, incorporating user controls for input sensitivity, tonal balance, sample-rate conversion, room position compensation, and LED brightness. Connectivity is versatile, featuring XLR analog and AES3 XLR digital inputs to accommodate a wide range of sources.
