Kanto UKI is a compact, stylish 2-way active loudspeaker designed for tight spaces without sacrificing sound quality.
Offers versatile connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.0, RCA line-in, USB-C, subwoofer output, and 3.5mm jack.
Features a 6.35mm silk dome tweeter, 7.6cm midrange/woofer, and a curved cabinet design to minimize resonance.
You know that feeling when you stumble upon a piece of gear that just might redefine your desktop setup? Well, Kanto Audio's latest reveal at CES has us buzzing. They've just unveiled the UKI, a compact two-way active loudspeaker that's piqued our interest.
Measuring a mere 16.5cm in height and 11cm in width, the UKI is designed for those tight on space but unwilling to compromise on sound quality. The cabinet sports a sleek, curved design, deliberately avoiding right angles and sharp edges, which not only looks modern but might also aid in reducing resonance and diffraction.
Under the hood, the UKI features a 6.35mm silk dome tweeter paired with a 7.6cm concave cone midrange/woofer. While Kanto hasn't spilled the beans on the amplifier's power output yet, given their track record, we're expecting it to be well-matched to the drivers and cabinet size.
Connectivity options are solid. The UKI comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless playback, an RCA line-in, USB-C port, a subwoofer output for those wanting extra low-end punch, and a 3.5mm jack. It's clear Kanto is aiming for versatility here.
Available in four matte finishes—sage, cobalt, black, and white—the UKI is set to fit seamlessly into various aesthetic setups. And the best part? It's priced at a competitive $199, making high-quality desktop audio more accessible.
The UKI speakers are slated for release in the latter half of 2025. While it's still in the prototype stage, the promise of "exceptional sound clarity in a small, budget-friendly package" has us eagerly awaiting more details.
