Features up to 4TB storage, high-res audio support, and advanced upsampling to DSD1024.
Integrated support for major streaming services, internet radio, and detailed metadata retrieval.
Métronome Technologie is set to unveil its inaugural Digital Sharing Audio Server (DSAS) at the High End Show 2025 in Munich from May 15 to 18. This groundbreaking server represents a collaboration between Métronome and Audirvāna, combining robust hardware with sophisticated software to deliver a unified solution for both local and streaming music management.
The DSAS offers a comprehensive approach to audio management, featuring up to 2TB of internal SSD storage, expandable to 4TB, allowing extensive local music libraries to be housed efficiently. Operating on the Audirvāna Studio platform within a Linux environment, the server ensures seamless integration and stability. Users can control the DSAS through the Audirvāna mobile application available on Android and iOS devices, providing intuitive access to library management, sound processing, and streaming services.
Technical specifications highlight the DSAS's capabilities, including 4GB of RAM, multiple digital outputs such as USB Audio for DAC connections, Ethernet, Wi-Fi (UPnP), and Chromecast support. It supports high-resolution audio formats like PCM and DSD, with upsampling options up to DSD1024 using SoX and R8brain technologies. Integrated streaming services include Qobuz, Tidal, HRA, and Presto Music, alongside internet radio and advanced metadata retrieval, excluding album artwork.
Priced at 5,990 euros in Europe, the DSAS package includes a three-year subscription to Audirvāna Studio and a perpetual license for Audirvāna Origin, enabling extensive functionality for managing and enjoying a high-fidelity audio experience. Jean-Marie Clozel of Métronome emphasized the synergy between their hardware and Audirvāna's software, highlighting the device's versatility as both a musical server and streamer. Damien Plisson from Audirvāna noted the reliability and continuous updates of their software, ensuring the DSAS meets the demanding standards of audiophiles worldwide.
Overall, the Métronome DSAS emerges as a premier choice for enthusiasts seeking a high-end, all-in-one audio server solution, promising exceptional sound quality and comprehensive control over diverse music collections.
