Pro-Ject has expanded its vibrant lineup with the introduction of the Colourful Audio System 2 and the more accessible Colourful Audio System E, catering to both seasoned vinyl enthusiasts and newcomers to high-fidelity audio.
The Colourful Audio System 2 is priced at £1,799 and is available in seven distinctive finishes, including Black, Fir Green, Golden Yellow, Steel Blue, White, Wine Red, and a Walnut wood veneer. This bundle features the Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 turntable, renowned for its exceptional performance in its category. The turntable is equipped with an Ortofon moving magnet cartridge, a non-magnetic platter, and a low-friction precision tonearm bearing, ensuring smooth and accurate playback. Complementing the turntable is the MaiA S3 micro-amplifier, which offers eight inputs, including a future-proof phono stage supporting MM, MI, and high-output MC cartridges, along with Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD for high-quality wireless streaming.
Accompanying the core components are the Speaker Box 5 S2 bookshelf speakers, which deliver lush mids and tight bass through their 130mm fiberglass cones and 25mm silk dome tweeters. Despite the reduced price, the System E maintains quality with the Debut E's solid MDF plinth, aluminum tonearm, and Ortofon OM5e cartridge, alongside the Stereo Box E’s 40 watts per channel and six input options. The Speaker Box 5 E Carbons continue to provide excellent sound with their silk dome tweeters and carbon fiber woofers.
